(1) Fixed major crash
issue where division zero would occur when the latest currency conversions are
downloaded from the European Central Bank. The Russian Ruble had been removed
causing the error. The Russian Ruble has since been removed from the list of
converted currencies.
(2) Ten other currencies which were dormant in AD and did not have live exchange
rates have now been activated in the Currency Converter. These currencies are
Brazilian Real, Chinese Renminbi, Indian Rupee, Indonesian Rupee, Israeli Shekel,
Philippine Peso, Mexican Peso, Turkish Lira, Romanian Leu and South Korean Won.

(1) Added purple coloured highlight
to the currently selected tab window displayed by AD.
(2) Added new background image for the Astronomy tab showing the Earth as viewed
from the Moon.
(3) Holding the SHIFT key whilst selecting System Properties from the AD menu
displays the legacy System Properties dialog instead of the updated Windows
10 version.
(4) Holding the CTRL key whilst clicking the mouse on the Next Equinox/Solstice
entry on the Astronomy tab will display the dates/times of solstices for the
current year plus one year.
(5) Reduced the footprint of the Desktop Weather Launcher hiding the position

(7) Weather data for home location updates now every 30 mins instead of every

(10) Ensured AD operates without issue in the Windows 11 operating system.
(11) Fixed major crash issue
on startup where AD would report an invalid date and shut down. This was caused
by a corrupted file downloaded from the AD host website. AD now checks the integritry
of this file before proceeding.
(12) Fixed issue with AD screensaver which had been defaulting to deactivated
status since the introduction of Windows 10 Build 1809.
(13) Event Editor bug fixed which stopped the Events list in the Events tab
from updating to reflect the change made.
(14) Fixed bug in Alarms function which prevented them from being activated.
(15) Dead RSS news feeds removed and replaced with new active ones.
(16) Various dead Internet links have been updated on the Conversion tab and
others including Microsoft DST News.
(17) Fixed bug preventing AD opening the Reports tab on startup.

(1) The engine used to calculate the position
and times of the planets has been completely rewritten to increase accuracy
of rise/set times to 1 arc second. Altitude and transit times are also more
accurate as a result. This has been achieved by making full use of the VSOP
87 tables to their full accuracy.
(2) The Sun tab now has an additional flick-switch in the top right hand corner.
When switched on it allows the user to compare the altitude of the major planets
against the Sun/Moon. A drop-down list of planets is available just above the
current date box. The flick-switch also activates the slider allowing any date
in the calendar year to be chosen.
(3) The Planets tab now allows users to select any date and time to view the
position of the planets via the chevron icon in the top left hand corner of
the Planets tab. A slider is also shown allowing any date in the current year
to be quickly selected. The chevron acts as a toggle and the date and time selectors
can be hidden by another click of the chevron.
(4) The layout of the Astronomy tab has been altered to allow for the addition
of a new function. The date and time of the Moons closest approach for the current
year (Closest Perigee) is now displayed.
(5) Clicking on the perigee, apogee, aphelion and perihelion entries in the
Astronomy tab will now link the user to the AstroPixels website giving more
detailed results.
(6) Use of the Real-Time Astronomy option will now update the position and distance
from Earth of the Sun and the Moon in the Calendar, Astronomy and Moon tabs
every second. It will also update the positions of the major planets as shown
in the Planets tab.
(7) The home location is now displayed in the form title of the main calendar
tab.
(8) The Calendar, Moon Phases, Astronomy and Planets tabs now show the date
range of Daylight Saving Time (DST) if applicable for the home location. Any
applicable calendar report will also show this information.
(9) The brightness of the background image to the Moon Phases, Events and Astronomy
tabs can now be adjusted via a mouse click on the new arrow button added to
the top left hand corner of the respective tabs.
(10) Links added to the PIM tab to access UK and US telephone dialling codes.
(11) The Loan Calculator now displays the monthly interest and total interest
charged of a given transaction.
(12) Professional users now have access to 26 Reports. Four completely new reports
have been added including 1 Month Landscape Big, 1 Month Landscape Small, Landscape
Planner and Sun/Moon Phenomena.
(13) The database of weather locations now includes a Where On Earth Identifier
(WOEID) for each entry.
(14) Weather forecasts are now shown for user-defined locations
(15) The date and time of the last and next Moon Phase to occur are now shown
in the Moon tab.

and printed from the Reports tab between years 1 AD and 1752 AD. This functionality
is available in the 12 Month Calendar, Yearly Moon Phases, 1 Year Rise/Set,
Sun/Moon Phenomena, 24 Month Calendar, 3 Year Horizontal and 3 Year Vertical
Reports.
(17) Pluto has been removed from the Planets tab and replaced by details of
the Sun.
(18) The Moon is displayed in the Moon tab much quicker due to a rewrite of
the display code to use 32bit instead of 24bit bitmaps.
(19) The 1 Year + Events report has changed name to 1 Year + Events + Phases
and now shows a list of the major Moon Phases for the selected year.
(20) Grids now surround the calendars displayed in the following Reports: 1
Month Calendar + View, 3 Month No View, 3 Month With View and View + 3 Months.
(21) The format of the how the selected calendar month is displayed has changed
for the following Reports: 1 Month Calendar + View, 3 Month No View, 1 Month
Grid + Events, 1 Month Grid Rise/Set, 3 Month With View and 1 Month Events +
View.
(22) When Automatic Backups is selected from the Options tab, the user will
no longer see a confirmation dialog that the data has been backed up. The date
and time of the last backup is shown in the Help tab.
(23) The View Brightness Controls option has been removed from the Options tab
and replaced by an option to Disable Popup Reminders of data/program updates.
A window icon notifying of a waiting update will continue to be displayed in
the Taskbar.
(24) The azimuth and altitude of the Sun/Moon/planets is now displayed to 3
decimal places in the Calendar, Moon, Astronomy, Planets and Sun tabs.
(25) The width of the 5 day weather forecast panel has been increased to avoid
text not fitting an individual panel.
(26) The control buttons for adjusting month and year in the Mini-Calendar have
been changed and now have arrow icons instead of text.
(27) New commands built into AD to block access to the Internet to download
weather, currencies and RSS feeds.
(28) New commands built into AD to block calculation of apogee/perigee, aphelion/perihelion,
solar eclipses/lunar eclipses in case of errors which prevent AD from running.
(29) Times for perigee,
apogee, perihelion and aphelion now correctly adjust for time zone and Daylight

to take into account local Daylight Saving Time (DST) settings.

(1) All new engine for the calculation
of the times on moonrise and moonset which is accurate to within one minute
for any location in the world.
(2) All new engine for the weather forecasting using Forecast.io. Forecasts
for next two days are now more descriptive and the time taken to download the
weather data is now much faster with time taken displayed in milleseconds in
the Help tab.
(3) All new engine for the calculation of equinoxes and solstices where times
are accurate to within one minute for any location in the world.
(4) A countdown to the next New Year in days, hours, minutes and seconds is
now displayed in the Clocks tab and updated every second.
(5) New links to rain radar forecasts have been added to the Weather menu for
France, Italy, Spain, Australia and North America.
(6) 1 Year Rise/Set Report added to Reports Tab (Professional Users) which will
display the rise and set times of the Sun or the Moon for each and every day
in the selected calendar year.

(8) Vertical scrollbar added

(1) Two new entries have been added to the menu on the Weather
tab which allow you to switch between Celsius/Fahrenheit for temperature and
miles per hour (mph)/kilometres per hour (kph) for wind speed.

A large number of new locations have been added to the database for Italy, Spain,
UK and the USA.
(4) A number of errors in the location database

(5) The program will now advise the user when it
cannot download the weather for a given location and advise which location requires

(1) 50 new locations added to
the database (49 for the UK, 1 for Mexico).

the date is less than 10 a leading zero is no longer displayed.
(6) Incompatibility with Windows
XP resolved where support for older versions of Internet Explorer had been removed
by third party web-sites. This would cause registration of Anno Domini with
valid details to fail. When downloading support files from the Internet, the
program will now no longer be diverted.
(7) AD now correctly determines
if access to the Internet is blocked (e.g. via firewall or anti-virus) and will

(1) Automatic
Updates feature added to the Options tab. User can select from automated program
and location data updates with minimum interaction of normal updates with user
choice at each step (default option is automatic).
(2) The Location
tab now displays the date of when Daylight Saving Time begins and ends for the

tab now shows the currently selected calendar date at the top of the form so
comparison can be made with the next event to occur.
