The MD5 Checksum determines if a file that you have downloaded is corrupted. Once you have downloaded your chosen Anno Domini file, use winMd5Sum program to get the MD5 checksum of the file downloaded on your computer. Then, make sure that the MD5 Checksum noted on the web site (highlighted in green) matches the checksum generated by the program. If the checksums are the same, then your file is exactly the same as the file on the website. If they differ, your chosen file has either not been downloaded completely or has become corrupted on your hard-disk. To resolve this difference, simply download your chosen Anno Domini file again until the checksum does match.
To check the integrity of the Anno Domini distribution files, download the free Null River MD5 Checker by clicking on the link below:
https://github.com/nullriver/winMd5Sum/raw/master/winMd5Sum.exe
Run the WINMD5SUM.EXE program and click the button with the three dots and select the downloaded Anno Domini file, e.g. ADZIP500.EXE. The program will instantly display the MD5 Sum in the field below. Then, compare the sum displayed with that shown on the web-site and ensure they are the same. Alternatively, copy and paste the MD5 Sum from the web page and paste it in the Compare field. Click the Compare button and the program will tell you if the checksums match, thus confirming that the downloaded program is 100% intact.
