Anno Domini 2005
Anno Domini 2005 New Features Overview
Anno Domini 2005 contains 10 new exciting features from the last release of Anno Domini 2004. A summary of the new features with example screen shots is shown below.
Direct Print Option
In the Reports tab you now have the option of directly printing your chosen report without first having to preview the report itself.
36 Month Calendar Report
The "36 Month Calendar" Report allows you to view and print yearly calendars for any three consecutive years. A part example is shown below for the years 2003-2005.
Increased Location Precision
All locations represented in Anno Domini can now be represented to 4 digits of precision. This allows the location to be accurately plotted in the new World Location Viewer and Sundial. All existing locations in the provided database have been updated to accommodate this.
All New 2D and 3D World Location Viewer
Each location can now be shown in a 3D representation of the world which can be zoomed in and out and rotated.
The 2D representation allows you to view borders between neighbouring countries and can be zoomed and panned.
Loan and Mortgage Calculator
Calculators are now provided to work out interest payments on fixed payment loans or Capital & Interest Mortgage loans.
The Capital & Interest loan calculator also allows you to view all future payments and details concerning interest charged for the period of the loan.
The Capital & Interest payments listed can also be sent to the printer in the form of a report to obtain a hardcopy.
All New 2D/3D Sundial Viewer
The new Sundial can be zoomed/panned and shows the area of the Earth in Twilight and also shows the position of the Sun.
The example above shows the USA in zoomed detail where the twilight shadow and state capitals can be clearly seen.
There are 9 preset maps with set position and zoom levels which can be selected including Europe, USA, Australasia, Asia, Middle East, Africa and South America.
The mouse cursor can be tracked to show the exact position on Earth being viewed in degrees, minutes and seconds. Each country can be individually selected and highlighted as shown in the example below for Turkey.
The view of the Sundial can now be increased to the full desktop size either in 2D or 3D meaning 1280x960 sized Sundials!
Any of the present maps/zoom levels can be chosen in the large screen mode and all zoom and pan functions are available.
The Sundial can now be viewed for any date or time in the current year. Two sliders control the date and time as below:
On moving either slider, the Sundial moves in real-time to the new date and time. Below shows the Sundial 1 and a half hours later.
